About Miss Herr-- I am the head athletic trainer here at Benjamin Franklin High School, as well as the instructor for the intro to sports medicine class where I am in my second year of teaching. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I spent the first 22 years of my life and moved here to Arizona in June of 2016. Prior to moving here, I had experiences working at a AAA high school, two Division 1 football teams and a physical therapy clinic as an athletic training student. I received my bachelors of science in athletic training from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and will be graduating this year with my masters of science in athletic training from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ.
I am excited to be here at BFHS keeping an eye out on all of our student-athletes, keeping them as healthy as possible and returning them to their sport as quickly as possible while still making sure they will be safe on the field! I am very passionate about athletics and helping others, which is why I love being an athletic trainer. I love coming to the school each day and standing on the sideline every week for practices and games! I am very blessed and grateful to have the opportunity to work with the wonderful student-athletes we have at BFHS, as well as the passionate coaches who keep them going on a daily basis.
Please feel free to reach out at any time with any questions or concerns!
